Waterfront near Mallory Square on Duval Street which is found upper left on the Map linked above. Shouldn't the  Duval Street Crawl start at 0 or 1 Duval Street? A great place to start is at the Sunset Pier. Good food and good drinks.  Beautiful waterfront views.  The place is very casual and the menu has something for everybody.

Hog's Breath is also a good place to start the Duval Street Crawl. Try a Key Lime Pie Shooter! They are great here and taste just like a Key Lime Pie, you can even taste the graham cracker!

Great entertainment afternoon and evening. Very good Raw Bar and very good food.  Oysters are always very good and well chilled. Open air for the most part, a must see. 

Buy a shirt!  Some of the best colorful shirt designs to be had in Key West are here. Very well stocked gift shop. Hog's Breath would also make a good starting point for the Duval Street Pub Crawl. One way or another be sure to visit Hog's Breath Saloon and the gift shop!

When ready to leave, head to the Duval Street exit and head to Captain Tony's Saloon, which is on this side of Duval Street at 428 Greene Street (you can't miss the yellow paint). On to Capt. Tony's Saloon!

The original Sloppy Joe's Bar (1933 -1937) during most of Ernest Hemingway's time in Key West.

It has to be experienced.  Check out the old pirate hanging tree growing through the roof and the grave marker at it's base over near the gift shop. May as well buy a shirt while you are near the gift shop. At one time this was among other things an ice house, morgue and funeral home. I was told the undertaker's daughter is buried under the pool tables. The Saloon is said to be haunted. Find out for yourself!

In fact, Capt. Tony's Saloon is a stop on most Key West Ghost Tours. It is the last stop on this 1.5 - 2 hours long Private Haunted History Walking Ghost Tour. BYOB alcohol and snacks Are Allowed on the Private Haunted History Walking Ghost Tour!

Jimmy Buffett played here before he became world famous and mentions Capt. Tony's in Last Mango in Paris. Jimmy made a difference in millions of lives and touched countless souls. It took just one man's incredible talent and vision. Think about that. May Jimmy Rest in Peace.

Again, this Saloon is just off Duval Street not far from Hog's Breath (2 blocks on the same side of Duval) or Sloppy Joe's, (about a half block away on the other side of Duval). Please leave a business card or a bra (many bras and G strings hang from the ceiling) and be sure to take notice of the water marks from Hurricane Wilma and other hurricanes. 

Side Note: We were in Key West just days before Hurricane Wilma hit. Two days later the Key West web sites had pictures of the water level on Duval Street.

Lots of history here at Captain Tony's Saloon. Lots of spirits too. Ask the bartenders if the place is haunted. A must visit on the Duval Street Crawl!

Did You Know? Hemingway Days Are Held Every July Around The Time Of Papa's Birthday

World Famous. For good reasons. Always a good time .Always good entertainment on the Stage. An icon on Duval Street, you can't miss it. A Duval Street legendary Bar to enjoy more than one adult beverage.

Check out the items on the walls, discover the barrel table where Hemingway sat, and become immersed in history. Then go buy a T-Shirt before you get distracted by more tropical libations. Great bar tenders with their trivia, and the great music. Try a Hemingway Daiquiri or Papa Doble while there at Sloppy Joe's Bar.

Hemingway Days and The Papa Hemingway Look Alike contest is held in July around the time of Papa Hemingway's birthday.

My personal favorite is the Pictures with the Papa's. It takes place Saturday morning in the "Bull Pen" which is located at the Greene Street side entrance of the Bar. Then there is the Running of the Bulls, and the Papa Look Alike Final that evening.

The Bull Pen is where those pretty ladies brave enough to mount the "Bull" pose for their picture with the Papas. Usually with exotic tropical beverage in hand. Our sign said "I Survived Hemingway Days 2010". That's me on the left (her right).

Irish Kevin's is Open 11am - 3:30 a.m. The Duval Street Crawl is not complete without a stop at Irish Kevin's.  You may not want to leave, it is so much fun!  "Come on in" and be prepared to be picked on. If you see a rubber chicken on the sidewalk at the door be sure to follow it inside! Fun entertainers! This place can get raunchy, but it is all in good fun.  Great selection of draft and bottles. OPEN LATE!

My favorite entertainer at Irish Kevin's is New York Pauly. If the guy on stage is NY Pauly, and he asks where you are from, say New Jersey and see what happens! Try to schedule a visit to Irish Kevin's when NY Pauly is playing on your Duval Street Crawl. If you miss him come back when he is playing!

A real fun guy! Look at that stage filled with patrons. This is usually my place to hang out and have raunchy fun!

In fact, when I mentioned to NY Pauly in October 2016 that it was our 30th Anniversary he invited both Terri and I on stage First was the Beer Drinking Contest. I won (2.7 seconds). Then NY Pauly instructed us what to do for some R rated fun. We had a blast thanks to NY Pauly.

Most folks are skeptical of stopping here to get drinks, as most frozen drinks elsewhere can be sugary. Believe me, these are nicely balanced, and very refreshing on a hot day or evening. Stop by during your Duval Street Crawl for a delicious cold drink with an extra shot or floater.

Very large selection and a bartender can help you decide if needed. All the bartenders are friendly, and their great service, personalities and hospitality is what will keep you coming back! Enjoy the mister fans. Fun and bustling bar with an outdoor feel to it. Very nice menu as well. I have never heard any complaints here. Great Bartenders and Great Food which is the case just about everywhere along Duval Street. The atmosphere is like being in a haunted museum. Go upstairs. There was a Beatles Room the last time I was there (2016).

Remember you are in an old haunted mansion, you never know what may happen. For real. It is on most of the Key West ghost tour lists, although some tours just pass it by or stop out front. Go in for an adult beverage, and sit at the bar if you can. Ask your bar tender about flying beer glasses and other paranormal activity. Cheaper and hopefully faster service than getting a burger at other places along Duval Street. If you are hungry this is the place. The locals eat here. Maybe you should consider eating here too.
